Most apps ask you to trust their privacy policy. We are building one you can check. Bible Anvil needs no account and harvests nothing — and it proves it: the Open Network Ledger is a human-readable log of every network request the app ever makes, inspectable, not merely promised. Builds ship with published hashes, so anyone can verify the app they hold is the app we shipped. And for readers who want certainty instead of settings, a No-Network Edition the operating system itself keeps offline. Our privacy is not marketing. It is architecture — and it is written into the covenant.

Everything you build here — every note, tag, highlight, memory verse — is yours in the fullest sense we can engineer. Cancel, and it all stays readable. Export is free, unlimited, and offline, always. And we planned for the question nobody likes to ask: if our servers ever fell silent for around sixty days, the app would permanently unlock its full premium tier on your device and offer complete export. Leave any time; arrive easily
A tool you cannot leave is a trap, so we are building the exits first. Everything exports in open formats — Markdown, CSV, PDF, OSIS, USFM, BibTeX, JSON — and your marks are anchored to verses, not page positions, so they survive a change of translation. Arriving is just as kind: bring your existing study notes across, and bring your Obsidian, Notion, or Logseq notes in as verse-anchored notes beside the text. And because hands slip, recovery runs deep — recover a note you deleted three years ago, on the free tier.
A pastor’s whole week
From the first quiet reading on Monday to the last word on Sunday, we are building the pastor’s whole week into one place. In the pulpit, the scroll is the controller — his natural reading pace drives the congregation screen; no clicker, no operator. That screen never goes blank. Ever. Before Sunday he can hear the whole sermon read back in his own voice, cloned on his device, nothing leaving it. Every Bible that matters to someone
We are building the catalogue on readers, not languages — if a translation carries a people’s conviction, it belongs here. One subscription opens every translation we are able to offer, and beneath it all sits a free core of Scripture no rights-holder can ever pull — first verse readable offline, no sign-up. Every Bible ships with a published checksum. The canon is honoured in its breadth: CanonForge builds tradition-specific canons — including the Ethiopian Tewahedo canon of roughly eighty-one books, with 1 Enoch, Jubilees, and Meqabyan — with provenance, and gaps, stated honestly. The Word has a lineage — Wycliffe to Tyndale to Geneva to the 1611 King James — and we treat it that way. The missionaries page shows what this makes possible.
Original languages without gatekeeping
Hebrew and Greek should not sit behind a priesthood of software. Tap any word for a word study. Read a real reverse interlinear — the original under your own translation, aligned word by word. Search by grammar, not just spelling. Rarity shading quietly marks the words Scripture uses only a handful of times. Hear the word spoken, and read it in your own letters while the alphabet is still new. If you are training for ministry, the seminary page goes deeper.
Study that compounds
Ordinary study, faithfully done, should organise itself. Every tag you make and every highlight set you define automatically becomes a living, filtered view across the whole Bible — Auto Hammers, zero setup. An audio-first, eyes-free mode serves the commute, the workshop, and every reader who takes the Word in by ear — with a Driving Mode that keeps eyes on the road. The Church is not made of flagship phones. Bible Anvil runs fully offline — no degraded mode, no hidden calls — and it is built for the five-year-old budget Android in the plastic case: if it stutters on a $150 Samsung A-series, we have failed our mission.
